Welcome to PODY. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PODY mobile application, website, and services offered by PODY Technologies Private Limited ("PODY", "we", "us"). By registering or using PODY, you agree to these Terms.

1. The PODY Platform

PODY provides an informational technology platform that enables:

Indian consumers to record, manage, and transfer appliance ownership records ("Digital Passports").
Peer-to-peer (C2C) buying and selling of pre-owned home appliances.
Discovery and direct connection with independent neighborhood electrical and appliance repair technicians.

2. Marketplace & Transaction Disclaimers

PODY operates solely as an intermediary communication platform:

C2C Transactions: PODY is not an auctioneer, reseller, or party to appliance sale contracts. Buyers and sellers inspect goods independently and settle payments directly.
Scam Shield Precautions: Users must observe our Scam Shield guidelines: inspect appliances in person, test operating condition, and never send advance UPI deposits before physical inspection.
Independent Contractors: Electricians listed on the directory are independent service providers, not employees or agents of PODY. Customers and technicians agree directly on inspection fees, labor, and spare parts costs.

3. Electrician Micro-Sachet Lead Tokens

Free Registration: Electricians register without any upfront directory or onboarding fee.
Complimentary Starter Tokens: Each newly verified technician receives 3 complimentary lead tokens.
Pay-Per-Quote Model: Technicians consume 1 token when submitting a formal quote on a customer service request. Additional tokens can be acquired in micro-sachets (e.g., ₹19 for a single token, or ₹79 for a 5-pack) via native UPI.
Non-Refundable Policy: Token purchases represent consumable digital credits and are non-refundable once credited. If a job is cancelled due to verified customer fraud, technicians can request token restoration via support.

4. User Conduct & Content Standards

You agree not to:

Post stolen, counterfeit, or hazardous appliances.
Provide falsified Aadhaar, PAN, or government credentials during KYC.
Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform's security mechanisms.
Harass, defraud, or impersonate other community members.

5. Termination & Dispute Resolution

PODY reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach safety guidelines or engage in fraud. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
